| Seattle, WA, November 20, 2009 - Holland America Line appoints Chris Martin as director, port operations, effective immediately. Martin will report to Bill Sharp, vice president, port operations and fleet security. Martin will provide overall direction and coordination of an extensive network of port agents, third party vendors and port authorities to coordinate fleet port calls worldwide. He will also work directly with ship staff to ensure port of call requirements are clearly identified, planned and achieved. | |

| Seattle, Wash., November 19, 2009 - Among the nine 2009 Readers' Choice Awards that Holland America Line has received from Porthole Cruise Magazine are five that recognize the line's varied and port-intensive cruise itineraries. Readers of Porthole conferred awards for Best Central America/Panama Canal, Best Northern Europe, Best Alaska, and Best Australia/New Zealand Itineraries, and Best Private Island for Half Moon Cay, the line's exclusive Bahamian port call that appears on most Caribbean cruise itineraries. | Seattle, Nov.12, 2009 - Meg Galus, pastry chef of TRU Restaurant in Chicago, Ill., is scheduled to sail as part of the guest-enrichment program on the Feb. 23, 2010, segment of the 70-day Grand South America Explorer and Antarctica Voyage aboard Holland America Line's ms Prinsendam. Galus will join the vessel on Feb. 23 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and sail until March 12 when Prinsendam overnights in Manaus, Brazil. During Galus' time onboard, the ship will call at a variety of ports including Montevideo, Uruguay; Rio de Janeiro, Salvador da Bahia, Recife (Olinda), Fortaleza, Belem, Santarem and Boca da Valeria, Brazil. | |

Johnson will report to Brendan Vierra, vice president, human resources. Johnson will be responsible for personnel training and development programs for fleet and land-based operations. These include ms Nieuw Jakarta, the company's hotel school in Indonesia; the Culinary Training Program located in Manila, Philippines; an English language learning program for crew; and leadership development for fleet and land-based employees.
